Sensationalism is not new to the videogame media, neither is an obsession with technology ("hardcore" videogaming is a tech industry now and not an entertainment industry), but as a testament to how terrible the videogame media is and what a perfect storm of stupid can form when these two things come together I direct your attention to the latest stupid article.

Is it too much to ask that people wait until the actual hardware is finalized and released before we start measuring digital penises? How about we wait until the hardware is actually officially announced? Hell, if we are going to start comparing phantom consoles why don't we just jump ahead and start talking about PS5, Xbox 1080 and Wii U's successor? I mean, it's just as stupid so why not?
